“Imam Al Shatibi’s Theory of the Higher Objectives and Intents of Islamic Law” is a book written by a prominent Islamic scholar of Morocco Dr. Ahmad al-Raysuni. The purpose of the author behind writing this book was bringing up some changes in the practices of Islam among the Muslims according to Qur’an and Sunnah. This book represents a pioneering contribution presenting a comprehensive history of the objectives of shariah in its various aspects, also as a painstaking study of objectives-based thought as pioneered by the daddy of objectives-based jurisprudence, Abu Ishaq al-Shatabi.
